Where
should I park? Parking
will be limited. Please carpool if possible. When you enter the park,
look for race staff to direct you to a spot. There will be parking in
the main parking lot, in adjacent mowed fields, and along the entrance
road into the park.

Do I
register my child for the Fun Run? No.
Just join us at the start line and choose the 1k or 100-yard dash.
Parents, feel free to run with your kids. All finishers will receive a sticker! |
|
Will
there be aid stations for the 6k and 12k?
Yes. We will have an aid station at the 2-mile mark
of the 7k course, and aid stations at the 2- and 5.5-mile marks of
the 12k. Each aid station will have a choice of water or a sports
drink. |
|
Are
there mile markers?
No. It will be more fun to look at the pretty leaves. But you can use the aid
stations as markers (see above), and a sign
near the end will let you know you’re nearing the finish. |
|
Will
the course be marked?
The course will be well-marked with signs, arrows, and flagging. We'll also have volunteers
at key intersections. |
|
Can
I check out the course before the race?
Yes, maps of the 7k and 12k
race courses are available as PDFs. |
|
What
if I twist an ankle? Keep
moving if you can. We will have volunteers at each aid station looking
out for injuries. We also have first-aid help from National Ski Patrol volunteers, ice, and other supplies on
hand for cuts and bruises. Please use common sense and help your
fellow runners.
|
|
Can
I wear headphones or run with my dog?
For the safety of all
runners, please leave your headphones and pets at home. |
|
I’m
a volunteer. What do I do?
Arrive at Indian Lake County
Park at 7:00 am and report to a race director at the picnic shelter.
Dress for several hours outdoors. |
|
Can
I switch races?
We would prefer that you not.
If you need to switch races, please e-mail us as soon as possible. We cannot switch your race at packet pick-up or on race
day. |
|
What
happens after the races?
You’ll want to stay for
food, live music, and race awards. Also see displays about Indian Lake and Dane County parks. Be sure not to miss
the grand finale, the raffle. |
|
What
can I win at the raffle? You’re
automatically
entered in the raffle. If we draw your race number, you could win a
George Foreman grill, Ice Age Trail Alliance atlas and guide,
running shoes, massage, outdoor products, UW sports tickets, honey and local baked
goods, gift
certificates, and more. |
